CODES (Collaboration for De-amalgamation and Security) is a peaceful civic alliance and advocacy movement representing the Yoruba and Biafra nations, established to promote dialogue, public education, security, and the lawful exercise of the right of sovereignty and self-determination of these nations, as well as the broader indigenous nations within Nigeria.

Despite historical differences and conflicts, including the painful experiences following the civil war, the Yoruba and Biafra nations have chosen a path of reconciliation, cooperation, and mutual respect. Both nations are now firmly committed to working together in harmony as partners in pursuit of peaceful self-determination and the restoration of dignity, security, and freedom for all indigenous nations.

CODES (Collaboration for De-amalgamation and Security)

CODES affirms that unity among nations is the most effective and responsible path toward peaceful political transformation. The alliance recognizes that cooperation, solidarity, and disciplined leadership are essential to achieving lasting change. Accordingly, the leadership and members of CODES declare that they will not tolerate attempts to divide, weaken, or sow discord among the nations within the alliance. The organization is founded on the principles of unity, trust, and shared purpose. Both nations stand united in their peaceful pursuit of freedom, self-determination, and lawful political choice, and in their commitment to working together to secure a future in which all nations can determine their destiny through democratic and non-violent means. CODES operates strictly through peaceful and lawful engagement and respects the principles of human dignity, the rule of law, and responsible civic participation.

PREAMBLE

We, the representatives of the indigenous nations historically incorporated into the political entity known as Nigeria, acting under the banner of the Collaboration for De-amalgamation and Security (CODES), do solemnly and publicly proclaim this Declaration of Sovereignty.

Guided by the enduring principles of human dignity, equality, justice, and the right of peoples to determine their political destiny, and mindful of the lessons of history, we affirm that sovereignty resides inherently in the people and in the nations to which they belong.

Inspired by the moral and legal authority reflected in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and consistent with the principles of international law recognized by the United Nations, we declare our commitment to peaceful, lawful, and democratic processes.

We assert that the Yoruba and Biafra nations, along with all indigenous nations within Nigeria, have the right to self-determination, including the authority to determine their political status, choose their system of governance, control their economic resources, preserve their cultural identity, and secure their collective future.

We, the representatives and signatories acting under the banner of the Collaboration for De-amalgamation and Security (CODES), speaking on behalf of the indigenous nations historically incorporated into Nigeria, hereby issue this Statement of Constitutional Rejection.

This declaration affirms: All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.Governments derive legitimacy from the will of the people, The rule of law must protect rights and freedoms and Peoples have the right to determine their political status

To the Indigenous Peoples and Nations within Nigeria This is a moment that calls for courage, unity, discipline, and lawful action. History has shown that meaningful change is achieved not through chaos or hostility, but through organized, persistent, and principled civic engagement.

We therefore call upon all citizens, communities, and indigenous nations to rise in peaceful solidarity to demand transparency, justice, and accountability from those entrusted with public office.

Our Commitment

We will speak truth to power respectfully but firmly, demand accountability from elected officials, use lawful and peaceful means to defend our rights, stand united across ethnic, regional, and historical differences, and reject division, violence, and intimidation. Our strength lies in discipline, unity, and moral authority.

How to Mobilize and Hold Politicians Accountable — Lawfully and Effectively

Organize Peaceful Public Demonstrations

Citizens should gather in public spaces where permits are required and lawful, use banners, placards, and clear messaging, maintain order and discipline at all times, and document events to ensure transparency and protection.
